Description: |
A saw in the form of a moving fillister. Instead of a cutter, the tool has a saw blade on the side, and a fence attached to the sole in the manner of a moving fillister. In use, one edge of the rabbet is cut, then the workpiece clamped perpendicular to the first and the second edge cut. By setting the saw blade depth, the sole of the plane will act as a depth stop. I made a copy of one of these and it works very well, especially for crossgrain work. |
