Description: |
A cutter fastener that screws into the wooden stock, and a lever that provides pitch adjustment. The inventor says this does away with wedges which will sometimes crack a stock.
The inventor acknowledges some prior art fasteners he says do not allow for adjusting the pitch. Notable is an application by Asabel G. Batchelder that was filed on or about July 3, 1857 but rejected. |
