Description:
At first glance, this invention appears to be a capiron as it attaches to a cutter in the manner a capiron would. It is, however, much different. This inventon is an adjustable metallic throat piece that attaches to the cutter, unlike the usual throatpiece that attaches to the stock. It has a set aperture between the cutter and the throatpiece to allow the passage of the shaving. As the stock of the wooden plane is worn away, the throatpiece is adjusted to make up for the wear, but the aperture remains constant.
