Ripley's role in cast iron stove design
Description:
No drawing; the specifications describe a multi-stage process for obtaining reusable casting patterns for relatively thin plates and cast hollow-ware. A blog post on the history of stove making notes Ripley was advertising his "new process" in 1843.

Ripley (ca. 1797 - 1873 ) is remembered for his role in the design and production of ornamental stoves, etc. He also designed and patented tools and other cast iron articles.
