Folding combination shoe-horn & button hook; the hook folds back into the "bowl," and there is a spring latch similar to pocket knife blades. A closely related design was produced as a bottle opener / corkscrew.
Some examples based on this patent have fairly elaborate decoration. The J.L. Sommer Mfg. Co. was a major source of household gadgets / advertising specialties. |
