Vintage Machinery entry for Auto-Nailer Co.
Description:
This patent was the beginnings of the Auto-Soler Co. and the Auto-Nailer Co. The patented machine was intended for nailing soles to shoes or boots but it reportedly did not work at all reliably and it took years of further research and development to produce a practical machine, which would then be extended for use with wood and plastic.
