Description: |
This tire setter uses "a series of segmental pressure blocks operated by bell cranks levers connected to a central screw" where "depression of the inner ends of the series of bell crank levers forces the pressure blocks inward, which compresses the tire paced inside the circle of pressure blocks, reducing its diameter to suit the work required." The patent also covers the gearing used to work the central screw and nut. |
