An 1893 catalog from Pratt & Whitney shows an "Improved Standard Railroad Oil Testing Machine. Prof. R. H. Thurston's patents." The only other R. H. Thurston patent wee have found is patent 155,051, which relates to torsion testing; that machine was also manufactured by Pratt & Whitney. |
