"...the neck of the windlass rests upon iron sheaves set in the Bitts and each shaft acting upon its own pin... a roller parallel to the windlass placed on the half deck with arms reversed with connecting rods leading therefrom to the purchase on the windlass barrel causing them to fleet and refleet will give the windlass its proper motion..." |
