Description: |
The button differs from the button in 128,948 in several ways, including that the head is free to rotate around the shank after the button is applied. The screw could have a slotted head (Fig. 3) or be finished to match the surface of textile fabric (Fig. 5). The outside of the shank is designed to be held by the slotted device shown in Fig. 7 of the drawings. Fig. 8 shows a double-ended spiral screwdriver with one end having a "friction" pad to drive fabric-headed screws. A different form of the driver and button-holder are the subject of patent no. 128,950. |
