Description: |
The original application attempted to claim a combination of saw-filing clamps and saw-setting tools arranged on a bench, plus some features of the individual tools. The examiner found that the combination could not be claimed, and also it was not valid to combine the claim of the combination with the claims on the individual tools and the application was rejected. On appeal, the Commissioner of Patents found that the first claim was correctly rejected but then the validity of combining the claims was moot, and the examiner must reconsider the individual claims as if the combination claim were not made. This patent is the result. |
