Description: |
Louis M. Schmidt - patent attorney
My invention relates to improvements in cold chisels, of the form that is forged from stock in the form of a bar of material of circular form of cross-section and comprises an elongated blade of wedge-shape that merges with a handle having a polygonal form of cross-section, and the object of my improvement is to produce a form of structure in which the blade is nicely finished and polished from end to end and the handle is in the rough 'and wherein the finishing operations on the blade may be performed substantially without any liability of encroaching upon the exposed faces of the handle, particularly at the junction of the blade and handle, where they merge, the result being attained by reason of a suitable reduction in the size or diameter of the cross section of the handle relatively to the portion of the blade at or adjacent said junction. |
