Description:
Young (deceased) writes: "This reamer is intended to accompany and be used after the auger for boring tapering holes recently patented by me. ... " I have yet to find that patent, but the round "lead" of the reamer is intended to fit in the hole bored by that auger, keeping the reamer centered in the hole.
