Description:

Combining an auger bit with a tap, this patent was primarily intended for use by cabinetmakers when installing drawer & door knobs with threaded wooden posts. Not currently known to have been manufactured, but the assignment to the Centre Brook Mfg. Co. suggests a good possibility that it was.
