Description: |
Nail puller for opening boxes with two claws (inner and outer) both projecting in the same direction and in nearly the same plane. A hammer head is also added to the combination on the longer claw arm.
Advertised early in 1909 as the "MATCHLESS OPENER." Many extant examples have the wood handle scales missing as they were broken by users hammering on the end of the tool. See patent no. 1,082,952 for a "sequel." |
