Description: |
This is a very unusual design for a combination rabbet/router plane and
marking gage made entirely from stamped sheet metal. Of particular interest
on this patent is the locking mechanism-- twisting the front knob will lock
both the plane blade and the marking point.
A later patent by the same inventor (2,869,599) adds a fence to this
same design. This variant of the tool was produced commercially.
