Description: |
Reissue appears to merely expand the claims from two to four claims, expanding upon the original first claim regarding the blade following the contour of the handle. Saw blade is completely sandwiched between the handle in addition to the horns constructed of an alternate material such as cast gutta-percha or hard rubber. Method of improvement is applicable to various types of handsaws.
The original patent date and reissue patent date have been found marked on a Harvey W. Peace P45 saw. This saw doesn't utilize the gutta-percha or hard rubber claim.
E. Andrews & Sons was predecessor to the Union Saw Company. |
