Description: |
Rather delicate-looking shift mechanism for the North Bros. line of non-ratchet two-speed hand drills. This is _not_ the five-speed mechanism for the large breast drills, which added a ratchet to their speed selectors. Instead, it is an alternative mechanism used with the 1445 drills. US Patent No. 1,015,235 was the second alternative, the one actually applied to the two speed, non-ratchet 1445 drills. |
