Description: |
Peabody's claims for this patent center on a sheet metal covering for the end of the handle/heft which enters a flared socket in the head. Also, the handle is secured by means of a set-screw, rather than wedges, for easy removal when replacement is necessary. Further claims center on a tapped hole at the back of the head to receive a timber scribe, or other tools, and the addition of a rule to the heft. |
