Description: |
The cutters slide in grooves in the stock, and are slid in and out by the action of a scroll-grooved ring. An item in the November 1, 1859 NEW YORK COACH-MAKER'S MAGAZINE shows Meyer offering these in two forms of hollow auger and as a brace. According to that write-up a secondary adjustment enables compensation for wear. |
