Description: |
The 1882-10-28 Scientific American and the 1882-12-09 The Furniture Gazette both had illustrated articles on this invention and both of them concluded that further particulars may be obtained by addressing the patentee, Mr. Wm. H. Stinson, Scandia, Kansas. That phrasing does not strongly imply that the device was available for purchase and we suspect the Stinson was looking for someone to buy the patent. The December 1890 Carpentry & Building carried an illustrated ad for this device, available from "W. H. Stinson, Patentee and Manufacturer, 472 West Jackson St., Chicago, Ill." |
