Description: |
Used in the "Yankee" series of eggbeater hand drills. The jaws are kept spread apart by springs which are hidden from interference by bits or other objects pushed blindly into the chuck. The chuck is tightened by rotating the shell so that the threaded spindle proceeds inward along the chuck centerline. The attorneys were Howson & Howson, which firm exists to the present day. |
