Description:
The interior spring creates side pressure to prevent the sliding jaw from moving freely. The rotating toothed spiral cam (which sets in a central slot in the shank) provides a stop to adjust the size of the jaw opening.

Although a cam-adjust nut wrench may seem unusual, a similar shaped cam independently conceived by a British inventor resulted in the BURSTON CAM SPANNER, based on British 1932 patent GB-384,468 -- also patented in the U.S. in 1936 - [2,053,033].
