Description:
The specifications note prior art in patent no 544,726. The tool is a pocket wrench / tire pump combination.

Both the screw and rack / pawl adjustment versions have provision for disengaging the wrench adjustment to allow free motion for the air pump.

Corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-54,008 was issued Nov. 9, 1896, and British patent GB-189621551 was registered Sept. 29, 1896.
