Description: |
"New product" announcement for this lead pipe expander appeared in the April 15, 1896 issue of "HEATING and VENTILATION." The notice also mentioned Anderson's earlier pipe coupling (patent no. 525,236) designed to work with flared pipe ends.
Corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-55,911 was issued May 12, 1897.
One of these appeared in a Martin J. Donnelly auction. Martin's description says they are lead pipe expansion pliers offered by Stanley in turn of the century catalogs. |
