Description:

The adjusting screw is positioned between the frame and movable jaw. The adjusting screw has interrupted threads such that when the portion without threads is aligned with the movable jaw the movable jaw is free to slide for quick adjustment.

Evolved from the version appearing in pat. no. 329,542. Corresponding Canadian Patent CA-26,593 was granted May 4, 1887.
