Description:
Most of the specifications are a detailed discussion of the relationship between the pitch of the cam, its ability to hold the adjustment, the size of the center pivot bolt, and the range of jaw settings. A friction spring holds the cam's adjustment against incidental movement.

This is the U.S. equivalent to the cam-adjust nut wrench marked *CHARLES RICHARDS & SONS LTD. DARLSTON, ENGLAND // BURSTON 1-26-32 BRITISH PAT 384468* [GB-384468].

Although a cam-adjust wrench seems unusual, an earlier U.S. patent [734,329] used a similar shaped cam. That wrench is known to have been produced.
