| The main feature is the spring to close the jaws, which also holds them open when the jaws are pulled to their fullest open position. One form of the design includes a latch to hold the jaws in full open position. The patent also includes the replaceable jaw faces.
The patented features are refinements to the wrench represented by patent nos. 1,407,578 and 1,515,618, and are observed in later production of larger sizes of the tool.
Wrenches corresponding to those patents were produced by the Robert Wrench Company and later by the Hoe Corporation. |
