        Description: |
| The external ribs on the wrench correspond to the design of port plugs. These were a feature of certain designs of internal combustion engines. Port plugs provided a relatively large access hole to the interior of the cylinder -- often to access valves in engine designs where the cylinder casting did not have a separate cylinder head. Port plugs typically had a central hole threaded for the spark plug. The initial portion of this patent's specifications describe the problems inherent in this arrangement.
Patent no. 1,380,562 is for a similar tool.
