Description: |
A curved or straight blade works with a slotted blade, removing a thin strip of metal to make the cut. Corresponding U.S. patent 170,658 was granted Dec. 7, 1875.
The shears were made at Sturgis, MI for several decades, with an optional set of crimping "jaws" (patent 594,225 ) later added by his son, Philip William Berridge. |
