Description: |
Judson Switzer is back with an improvement to his 1917 butt gage patent (1,223,531). The tool is substantially the same, but instead of locking the various marking members in place with set screws this gage provides thumb-wheels for adjustment.
I'm not sure the improvement here is actually a step up. While the new adjustment feature is certainly more clever and gadgety, it seems like it would be very easy to accidentally knock the points out of alignment.
