Description:
This patent is one in a long series that would lead to the introduction of PVA glue. See patent 1,084,581 for an early such patent. This present patent is the earliest we have found that explicitly describes a polyvinyl alcohol adhesive. It was developed to be a stronger and less brittle alternative to the then-available adhesives manufacturing plywood.
