This invention has for its object certain improved features of construction, designed to simplify and cheapen and to facilitate the operation of steam-engines.
Claim:
The steam -chest, having the semi-cylindrical bushed shaft-bearings at the juncture of the radial side enclosures of the chest, the rock-shaft, and its radial plate, said shaft being passed through the chest and in said bearings, and having no other hearings, each end of the rockshaft without the chest being provided with a connecting-rod crank. |  |
