Description:
The patent claims the ratchet structure including latch features for interchangeable sockets, etc. The specifications state this is an improvement on 818,761, and note a socket form usable for square or hex nuts, with an open center allowing a long bolt, etc. to pass through as a nut is drawn tight.

A known example has date markings suggesting predecessor Canadian patent CA-95,354.
