Vintage Machinery entry for Irvington Machine Works
Description:
This print mechanism is intended for "the end printing of lumber, wherein boards are moved continuously and rapidly past a printing unit where a mark is imprinted on their ends. The rapid movement of the boards past the printing unit, the viscous nature of the ink employed, and the operating conditions generally existing in a lumber plant creates peculiar problems in printing which have been overcome quite satisfactorily by the printing mechanism of this invention."
