Description: |
Abstract:
My invention relates to an improved method of constructing a feeding-scraper which is designed to be used in connection with the separator of a clover-huller, and is especially adapted to be used in conjunction with the double-cylinder type; and the objects of my invention are, first, to provide a positive, uniform, and regular means of feeding the clover to the hulling-cylinder irrespective of the condition of the clover; second, to construct a separator with scrapers that will perform the double function of forcing the clover forgo ward into the cylinder and of bracing the longitudinal bars which are attached to the lower portion of each separator-trough; third, to provide a simple and effective scraper that will add strength and rigidity to the longitudinal bars to which they are attached.
Claim:
A feeding-scraper comprising a body portion, flanges formed on the body portion, the flanges gradually converging toward one an-other, the flanges gradually increasing in width from the bottom to the top of the body portion, the upper portions of the flanges bent with relation to the body portion and to the flanges, the flanges and their upper portions cooperating with the body portion to form a pocket in the upper end of the scraper. |
