Description:
The patent infringement lawsuit Fred H. Beach v. Clarence W. Hobbs et. al., went to the US Supreme Court in October 1900. Beach sued Clarence Hobbs and Richard Sugden, doing business as Hobbs Mfg. Co., Worcester, Mass., for infringement on this patent. Beach won, but Hobbs and Sugden appealed, eventually all the way to the Supreme Court, but Beach's win was affirmed at each step.
