Abstract:

My invention consists in attaching to the rear part of the ordinary cotton-gin-saw-filing machine an adjustable rest and gage, so that lhe file is caused to operate upon all the teeth alike, without regard to the pressure in holding the machine, by which means the teeth may be cut to any depth desired much more accurately, much easier, and requiring much less skill to operate it.

Claim:

In a saw-filing machine, the combination of the frame A, the gage C, attached thereto and adapted to be adjusted back and forth in relation to the saw, with the pivoted bearing c, for bearing against the teeth.
