Claim:
In an explosive-gas engine, the combination with a cylinder having an exhaust-port io located about midway the length of the stroke of the piston within the cylinder, and means co-acting with the said exhaust-port for closing the same throughout each full forward stroke of the piston, and for opening the same during the first half of each backward stroke of the piston, whereby the half portion of the combustion products lying next to the piston is ejected through the said port during the first half of every back ward movement of the piston. |
