Description: |
The drawings show details of a combination riveter and vise with optional "foot power." Those details are explained in the specifications. The patent claims details of a rivet holder component of the overall device.
The complete device was produced; a known example is marked POMEROY with two patent dates - patent 646,035 being the first. It was described in a December 1900 issue of IRON AGE.
The patented features and components described in the respective specifications appear in various models of riveters produced by F.H. SMITH Mfg. Co., Chicago; some examples of the PONY and REX are marked with this patent date.
Some related Pomeroy patents were also produced by Great Lakes Mfg. Co. of Chicago. |
