Abstract:

This invention has reference to three roller sugar cane and like mills, and especially to the returner bar, and parts connected with it, lying between the two lower rollers, and serving to lead or direct the cane delivered from the upper and intake lower roller, and delivering it to the nip between the upper and the second and discharge roller.

Claim:

In a sugar cane or like mill, the combination of side frames or headstocks; an adjustable returner bar; stools on the inside of the said frames or headstocks; returner bar bearing blocks adapted to be adjusted parallel with the side frames or headstocks, having inclined ends and resting on the stools; wedge shaped adjusting means at the ends of the bearing blocks, and adapted to act on same; and bolts connecting the said wedges, and disposed parallel with the general plane of the returner bar.
