Description: |
Improvement over Lufkin's earlier rule patent, 149,321 which according to the application did not hold up as well as desired due to the abuse it was subjected to in the lumber yard.
The patent changed the head of the rule to from an oblong square to this design that caused the heavy tasks of lifting and turning lumber to be transmitted to the edge of the rule instead of across the more fragile and thinner face. |
