Description: |
| The patent describes two part belt fasteners (connectors for joints in endless belts used for power transmission) with curved faces. The two parts screw together, and the faces have holes for pin spanner type "keys" to tighten and loosen the screws. The patent also describes the corresponding "keys" with curved surfaces from which the pins extend. This 1897 patent was subsequently amended to remove references to one optional form for the fasteners. See also Jackson's 1902 patent GB-190206356 [forming curved face bolts], and 1903 patents GB-190306014 and GB-190326698.
