Description: |
This is a very interesting butt gage, embodying several of the
original Marden's Patent (125823) ideas in a new and more
compact package, and adding a few twists of his own.
This gage was the first that I have found to include a separate
setting for hinge mortise depth as part of the setup, which is a
great idea. It also allows you to mark registered off the quirk
of a bead in the door molding, which is a not-as-great idea (but
still interesting).
