Vintage Machinery entry for E. R. Klemm
Description:
These brakes are "particularly adapted for use on motor trucks and other large vehicles." The inventor began manufacturing such trucks in 1917. They had rear-only brakes that were notoriously ineffective. Production of Klemm trucks stopped in 1918, probably because of wartime shortages; production never resumed.
