Description: |
Movable jaw adjustment by geared adjusting "rosettes." The threads on both shafts are the same pitch; one has "right hand" travel and the other "left hand" travel. The overall style resembles "French" forms. The secondary shaft keeps the jaws aligned.
In 1889, Wagner was advertising a similar wrench with the main screw (turned by the handle as in "French style") having left- and right-hand threads, both jaws "travel," and the side shaft threaded at a pitch sufficient to match the combined travel of both jaws. |
