Vintage Machinery entry for C. F. Richardson
Description:
This patent transit was a relatively low-cost device that sold very well. In about 1895 the inventor took his son, Fred, as partner, and then in 1905 they merged with another company to create Richardson-Oliver, which soon sold the transit line to L. S. Starrett Co., who continued to manufacture this transit for several years.
