Description: |
This is perhaps the king of the cam-locked head patents. It uses
an eccentric cam, which actuates a plunger, which compresses a
rubber disk, which bears on a plate on top of the arm. Rube
Goldberg would be proud...
The locking mechanism on this piece is so complicated that it
must have been extremely fragile. The few examples of this piece
that I know of are all inoperable
