Description: |
The ratchet head operates at the end of a shank removed from the actuating lever. The "spool" actuated by the lever has eight-point openings. The nuts inside the cylinder holding threshing machine teeth are noted as an application. This design would allow operating on those nuts from the end of the cylinder. Landis had other patents relating to threshing machines.
A known example is marked only with part numbers on the malleable iron components.
A 1905 publication notes Franklin Frick Landis' threshing machine patents were used by the Frick Company, Waynesboro, PA in the "LANDIS ECLIPSE" line of threshing machines. |
