Description: |
A drive "partial circle" gear alternately engages pinion gears on the main shaft to general oscillating motion. A friction spring keeps the main shaft from turning when not engaged by the gear.
The physical appearance of this design resembles the Master Favorite Valve Grinder models No. 1 and No. 2 produced by the New Favorite Mfg. Co. of Columbus, OH. Many principles of this design also appear in John W. Schab's Jan 2, 1923 patent no. 1,441,486 which was produced as the Master Favorite No. 3 Valve Grinder. |
